For my informative graphic, I am focusing on climate change. I used this project as an opportunity to play with putting more conceptual meaning behind the content of my graphic. I utilized a tutorial to create the effect of waves filling up the text layers through alpha matting, and it created a strong effect.
My original piece seemed a bit underdeveloped, so I set out to incorporate the underwater test I had done earlier for a new attempt at the final piece. I wanted the transition between slides to feel like the viewer had been swallowed up by the rising water, and I used an automated low-pass filter on the ocean audio to create a "submerged" feeling.
